The Last Original Kapena song by Kapena DeLima

The Last Original Kapena Song “Til The Sun Comes Up”

When we first started talking about doing a 30–year celebration for the original members
of Kapena, we thought it would be nice to end the journey with one last, original Kapena song.
We asked a close family friend, Bo Napoleon, to help us in writing it and all the Kapena kids
contributed to the song whether it was a verse, a bridge or just an idea.

It was nice to sit in the studio, the way we did as children, and watch our dads record
together one last time.

I grew up watching my dad and uncles in the studio. I still remember getting to push the “Big
Red Button” at Dave Tucciarone or Pierre Grille’s studio when I was young boy. Feels
good to be able to still hit that record button for my pops!

In 2017, Kapena’s brand new anthology album “Kapena 30” featuring the last original Kapena
song was awarded at the Na Hoku Hanohano awards for “Anthology Album Of The Year”.
We hoped to bring back that classic, electrifying Kapena sound and we think the results are
magic! Congratulations to my dad and Uncle Tiva and Timo!

  1. I’ve been browsing on-line for more than three hours, yet found no any at-gttionnerabbing article like yours. It is a beautiful piece for me. In my opinion, if all website owners and bloggers made as good content as you, the net would likely be a lot more helpful.
